FRISCO, Texas (June 24, 2009) – Teams and sidelines erupted after today's victories. Winners were crowned US Youth Soccer Region III Champions and have earned a berth to the US Youth Soccer National Championship July 21-26 in Lancaster, Mass., at Citizens Bank Fields at Progin Park.

FRISCO, Texas (June 10, 2009) – US Youth Soccer is proud to announce the schedule for the 2009 US Youth Soccer Region III (South) Championships to be played June 18-24 at Pizza Hut Park and Russell Creek Park in Frisco and Plano, Texas.

The US Youth Soccer Region III Championships, which will feature top teams in the Under-14 through Under-19 age groups, begin Thursday, June 18, with opening ceremonies, at Loos Field House in Addison at 3:00 p.m. (doors open at 1:00 p.m.).
Round robin games are Friday, June 19, through Sunday, June 21 at both complexes. Quarterfinal matches are Monday, June 22, and semifinals are Tuesday, June 23, both at Pizza Hut Park.
The US Youth Soccer Region III Champions will be crowned following final games on Wednesday, June 24, at Pizza Hut Park.

BUSA U16 Academy Team Punches Ticket to USSDA National Playoffs
The
BUSA U16 Academy Team learned this week that they have earned a spot in the US Soccer Developmental Academy (USSDA) National Playoffs. The boys, who are currently on a break for high school soccer, played 13 of 14 conference games between September and February and have posted an impressive 7:2:4 record with one game remaining. BUSA has been the team to chase in the Southeast Division and recent results clinch a top 3 conference finish, qualifying them for the playoffs.
Birmingham United (BUSA) Joins Women’s Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) as a Charter Member Club

Birmingham United Soccer Association (BUSA) has accepted an invitation to participate in the
Elite Clubs National League (formerly Red Bull National League). The ECNL replaces the two-year-old “Red Bull National League for Girls”.
Made up of 40 of the top girls soccer clubs in the United States, the ECNL is expected to provide the highest level league of girls youth soccer in the country, following a similar approach to that of the wildly successful U.S. Soccer Development Academy on the boys side of youth soccer.
